Dr.Nora Minorics (LL.M)

I became involved in politics last year as I wanted to bring positive energy and ideals to our community. With my special interest in law, I would like to stand up for the protection of our ethnic minorities, with a special focus put on autonomy arrangements and channels for ethnic participation in public affairs.

The core interest of my legal group are the legal and institutional aspects for the protection of fundamental rights, including general human rights of the majority and national or ethnic minorities throughout the world. I explore legal guarantees of the aforementioned rights in domestic legislation and their correlation with different standards.

As a future for our public safety, it is also important to focus on our National Security.

Providing security for the nation and for its citizens remains the most important responsibility of government, and my future aim is to provide excellent protection for our community. We need to continue to invest, learn and improve on how to strengthen our security, and we should commit to increased external engagement and public and parliamentary scrutiny to help us do so.

In recent months, the Government has strongly focused on our Climate Change Policy.  Climate change is potentially the greatest challenge to global stability and security, and therefore to national security. Tackling its causes, mitigating its risks and preparing for, and dealing with, its consequences are critical to our future security, as well as protecting global prosperity and avoiding humanitarian disaster.
